Data's Story...
location: Tampa, FL
Data is a 16 month old owner surrender. He weighs 30 pounds, and is taller than most Rat Terriers. Data is a very sweet boy and loves to go on long walks, rides in the car, and play with his foster brother and sister. He is a little shy at first, but when he warms up to you; he just loves to cuddle and play. Data is housebroken and uses a doggy door. He walks well on a leash and never leaves your side. He also knows how to sit, shake and lay down for his favorite treats. He will always alert you when there is a stranger coming. Data loves other animals but is a little timid around strangers and very nervous around children of all ages. He does not show children aggression but will bark at them and quickly run to the other room. Data is a very smart and loyal dog and is learning new tricks and behaviors every day. He will make someone a wonderful best friend.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Data, a Jacksonville Rat Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Rat Terrier for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Rat Terrier dog from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Rat Terrier breeders who help with Rat Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
