My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey I am Deke, I am a beautiful young boy with a fluffy tail. I am a little shy when I meet new people, but I am learning that hands feel good stroking my back.
Please come visit me, you will not be sorry, you will fall in Love with me!
Deke needs someone experienced in handling shy cats. He wants to be loved and petted but he runs before he thinks about it. Once he is picked up he is sweet and excepts the love.
If you can give this shy boy a home he will learn to trust you and be like any other cat.

You can call the shelter for an appointment to meet me at the shelter, or come to PetSmart in Conyers or Bethlehem for a meet and greet.

None of us are exactly at our very best at PetSmart, but that's just because we're used to having lots of love and fun at our shelter home and going to PetSmart with all the loud noises and bright lights is a little scary. Still, you can see how handsome I am and that I'd be really great as your new forever best friend.

At Altered Feral State, we work with feral cat colonies. All of our kittens were removed from the colonies and completely socialized when they are less than 8 weeks old. We don't offer them for adoption until they have been tested, vaccinated and spayed or neutered.

Our adoption fee of $75 only covers a very small portion of our costs, but to us, it's all about finding the best home for these wonderful kitties.
