My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"SQUEAKER"
African Grey
fostered by Jennifer C & Michael L of Tampa, FL

My name is Squeaker, and I'm a 13 year old Congo African Grey! Foster mom has me eating all kinds of good stuff, raw green beans, zucchini, sweet potatoes, all raw veggies and of course some raw fruits. I do like that bird bread too, you'll have to get that recipe! And I am off the seed diet that I came into rescue on and I like those rainbow pellets, and some raw nuts like almonds, and if you start the walnuts and Brazil nuts for me, it keeps me busy working on them. Foster mom says I need a job :-). I am hand tamed out of the cage more than in, cause if the entrance is narrow, I decide to go back in. So open my door if its small and I'll come out for you and "step up". I just need someone to put me on a t-stand next to them and work with me, I've come a little way in the month I've been at foster mom's, but still show a little more being at ease with the guys, but that doesn't stop my mom, so with the help of a new family to call mine forever, I'm sure we can be happy. I am used to going outside in the day and inside at dusk, and having German Shepherds walking by, in and out their dog door all day, even though my door stays open when I'm outside, they don't bother me and I surely return the favor. So, just chilling out and waiting on the family looking for someone like me! Oh, and I have still been picking a feather or two around my neck, and hopefully I will stop doing that at some point. See ya! Squeaker
