My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

http://www.valleydogs.org/beauregard.html -- Howdy y’all. My name is Beauregard – Beau
(pronounced Bo) for short.

I was found running down the road with my very best friend Dandy. I knew the lady who found
us was nice and went to her right away. She was even nice enough to take almost two hours to
get my friend to trust enough to come to her so we didn’t get split up.

I am a dachshund. Because of my short legs it is not good for me to jump up onto and down off
of furniture (it can hurt my spine). Steps or a ramp would be best so I don’t hurt myself, but I
love to be up with my humans, so I will try to jump if you don’t give me a way to get up to be
with you.

I am a very friendly and loving guy. I am quite fond of being petted and snuggling and loved. I
also enjoy hanging out with my human friends. I will sleep with you if you will let me.

My best friend Dandy and I play together all the time (could you adopt us together?) I have been
doing well with my foster mom’s other three dogs, although I was a bit unsure of those fellows at
first. In fact, I jumped in between the other dogs and Dandy to protect him when we first met (he

is my best friend after all).

I have learned lots of stuff with my foster mom – I know how to use a doggie door, I know how
to walk on a leash better now, and I am house broken (just give me a day or two to get used to
your schedule). I have also been staying in a kennel with Dandy during the day when our foster
mom is at work, but I haven’t had any accidents in the kennel or in the house. I do have one bad
habit, I like to steal and hide everyone else’s chewy treats – so I can be a bit of a thief.

I would be very happy to meet you, so please complete an adoption interest form and email it to
crystallarnold@msn.com to arrange a time for us to meet.
