Red's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Red's Story...
What's a nice girl like you doing in a place like this?!? That is what we asked as The-red-dog-in-kennel-38 tried to press her body through the cage towards us at a local shelter. Oh yes, this little girl loves her human company! Red has enjoyed romping with my large shepherd mix too.

Red was rescued 4/20 and is working her way through medical. She has been spayed, and is being treated for intestinal parasites. She will be treated for heart worm next week, and will have to be kept calm and quiet for 6 weeks after that as she recovers.

Red is great indoors. She is already welcomed at my quiet office, and seems to be housebroken. Red sleeps in the crate all night.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Red, a Richmond Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow for sale in Richmond, or seeking a Golden Retriever/Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Richmond.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Richmond already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Richmond breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever/Chow Chow breeders who help with Golden Retriever/Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Richmond paves the way for another one to be saved.
