Nala's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, and not good with cats.

Nala's Story...
This pretty 3.5 yr old brindle spayed female came to rescue when her original owner relocated and she's very confused as to why she ended up with rescue when she didn't do anything wrong. Nala has been a very loved girl her whole life and is nicely housebroken, loves new people and might even work with the right male dog as a companion but no other types of pets. Nala likes to ride in a car, and knows her basic commands but like any female Akita, pretends she doesn't -- she's quite a character!! She has a gorgeous black brindle coat and has a sweet face. Nala has never lived with children, so an adult home or older teens in the household would be the best home for her. Please consider giving her a great home -- she so deserves it! Nala is fully vetted and ready to walk right into your home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Nala, a East Amherst Akita dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Akita for sale in East Amherst, or seeking a Akita dog from a breeder in East Amherst.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in East Amherst already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a East Amherst breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Akita breeders who help with Akita rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in East Amherst paves the way for another one to be saved.
