Beagle_Jake's Story...
Hi – My name is Jake.

I’m a 2 and ½ year old Beagle – AKC registered. I am sooooo experienced with kids. The 2 year old here takes stuff out of my mouth and I just let her. I’m a cool, laid back dude, except when I need exercise. Then I run, run, run.

In early 2006, I got bit by a Brown Recluse Spider. That little sucker really hurt me. I’m still healing from it. My fur is growing back on the wound slowly. It will eventually heal completely. My family loves me so much that they nursed me back to health with hydrotherapy and plenty of TLC.

My present family rescued me from the person who bought me as a puppy when he moved and had to leave me behind. Now I need the home that is just right for me. Let’s see, Santa, my perfect home would have lots of good exercise, good food, lots of love, fun outings, and no more brown recluse spiders, pleeeeeeease.

I’m housetrained, neutered, UTD on shots. I listen very well to my Mom and Dad.

If you are interested in me, please, email my friend, Sue, at for more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beagle_Jake, a Cincinnati Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
