Blondie's Story...
Meet Blondie! She is an 8-week-old shepherd/retriever mix looking for her forever home. Blondie is the picture perfect example of a puppy – playful, adventurous, and loving. She loves everyone that she meets – adults, kids, and other dogs too! In fact, she would love to have a canine brother or sister. Being a typical young puppy, she is still learning proper puppy manners. It would be great if her new family would enroll her in puppy school – we know she would excel!

If you would like to make Blondie a part of your family, contact her adoption consultant, Debby, at Blondie is currently in a foster home, so she will arrange for a visit.

PS. This is Blondie’s baby picture from a few weeks back – updated photos are coming soon!

** The adoption fee helps to cover the general veterinarian check-up, heartworm test, spay/neuter, basic vaccinations, rabies vaccination, worming, flea preventative, and microchip that all dogs adopted through Berea ARF receive prior to going into their new home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Blondie, a Berea Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) for sale in Berea, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) puppy from a breeder in Berea.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Berea already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Berea breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type)/Retriever (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Berea paves the way for another one to be saved.
