Kona's Story...
Kona is everything you would want in a dog – affectionate, well-mannered, friendly – the whole package. Kona is currently living in a foster home, where she displays great house-manners; she just hangs out all day in her condo waiting for her foster family to come home. Kona is a recent graduate of Just A Dog training class and her foster family has done a great job to make sure the skills Kona learned are reinforced. Kona loves to play with her foster family at the park, go on hikes and enjoys meeting new friends along the way. Kona rides well in a car too. Kona is a snuggler.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kona, a San Diego American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in San Diego, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
