Hogan's Story...
Meet sweet and adorable Hogan! This energetic little guy weighs in at only 10 pounds, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in personality! Hogan is spunky and playful, and would love to be a buddy for an active family - he's got lots of energy and needs plenty of play time! As with all young dogs he would benefit from some doggie training classes to help him get the socialization he needs. Hogan is currently kenneled with another dog and so he may do well in a home with another playful, friendly dog. For more information, please call Kathy at 858-205-9974.

To meet Hogan, please go to the County Animal Shelter at 5821 Sweetwater Road in Bonita.

When looking to add a new member to your family, please consider one of the homeless dogs at the county shelter. Open your heart and your home - you will be glad you did.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hogan, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
