Hi there! My name is Ellsworth, and as you can tell, I am such a handsome young man!
I am approx 6 years young, and have recently found my way into rescue. I was a stray and taken in by a wonderful family. They posted signs online and around town, and my previous owners never came forward for me. They kept me for weeks and weeks, and then called rescue. They would have kept me but I don’t like to share the attention with other dogs, and they had other dogs, so it wasn’t meant to be.
I am just ADOR-A-BULL! I love to be lazy, and enjoy late night movies on the couch! I am as solid as a rock, and as squishy as a marshmallow. I love to cuddle with you and take nice, long naps.
Now on to the more serious side of me. I cannot possibly remain this gorgeous without being maintained. My feet are always going to be an issue. When I first came into rescue, they were very swollen and had cysts on them. My foster mom has been working very hard to keep them clean and soaking them to help with swelling. I will require a daily cleaning of them with a solution called chlorhexaderm flush. It’s available online for about $10 a bottle. My foster mom uses that solution on a cotton ball and cleans my feet daily. I also would look pretty cute in some socks!!!
My wrinkles are going to have to be cleaned out daily as well. Being such a studly bulldog, my wrinkles are very deep and can get infected easily. You know how it goes, being this adorable is going to require upkeep. While in rescue, I had my eyes done. Nope, not botox or anything, but my wrinkles were growing in my eyes. Not anymore! I can see so good now! My eyes do get dry sometimes, so you will have to wipe them out daily also, and put drops in them. My daily treatments should take about 15 minutes total. Not too long since I plan on giving you 24 hours a day of pure bully love in return!
I am PERFECTLY housetrained! I know that outside is the place to do my business.
I do not like cats. I repeat: I do not like cats! They are way too fun to chase and way too sneaky for my taste, so please, keep them away from me or there will be trouble. I also will need to be the only dog. I can live with other dogs for a day or two, then my male ego begins to get in the way, and I want to show em who’s boss. I am just PERFECT as an only pet! I love all the attention of the humans. I have NO history with children, so teenagers and up only please.
My foster momma says that anyone who adopts me is super duper lucky! I am a total catch, and I can’t wait to meet my new family. I promise to love you forever and ever!

*WHY ARE SOME DOG’S ADOPTION FEES HIGHER THAN OTHERS?
The adoption donation fees are based on age, health and needed vet care of the dogs we have taken in. The younger, healthier dogs help to pay for their cousins that need a little more TLC. You adoption donation fee also covers the cost of the spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip of your new dog.
*CAN WE COME SEE YOUR DOGS?
All of our dogs are in foster homes around the Phoenix area. We require an application to be filled out, a home check to be done, and vet reference check to be complete before having you come meet the dog of your dreams! We will ONLY contact you when we have a potential match.
*I HAVE SEEN SEVERAL DOGS WHO I THINK WOULD FIT MY HOME, BUT THEY ARE NOW ADOPTED. WHY?
We take a lot of time to get to know our dogs in rescue. Some are barkers, which cannot go into condos or apartments, some require companionship of other dogs, and some are not good with children. Each dog is unique!
*IS THERE A WAITING LIST OF APPROVED APPLICANTS?
YES! That is why even if you are not ready to adopt, get your application into us if you want to be considered for a future adoption.
*I AM LOOKING FOR A PUPPY OR VERY YOUNG BULLDOG.
Well, you have come to the wrong place. Rescue dogs on average are between 3 and 7 years old, we do not get puppies into rescue. We would, however, be able to refer you to a reputable breeder.
*BULLDOGS ARE SO EXPENSIVE! WHY?
If you are looking for a cheap bulldog by choosing rescue, need not apply! Rescue dogs are dogs that are going to need ongoing vet care, and a lot of love and training from their new humans. We only adopt to homes that truly want to RESCUE a homeless bulldog. This is not the place to find a “cheaper” bulldog.
