Beko's Story...
Beko is named for the late Nigerian medical doctor and human rights activist, Beko Ransome-Kuti. Beko might not be fighting for human rights but she is fighting to find a forever home! She is a very happy puppy, playful and affectionate. She wags her adorable stubby tail as best she can – she was born with this naturally docked tail – no big abuse story to tell, thank goodness. A well mannered, calm and proper gal, Beko’s favorite things are playing, running, enjoying people, dogs and life in general. Her dad was a big guy but mom was on the smaller side so we’re guessing she’d be somewhere in between. She is working on her housetraining and is crate trained

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beko, a Houston Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Houston, or seeking a Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Houston.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Houston already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Houston breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Australian Cattle Dog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Houston paves the way for another one to be saved.
