My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Roxy is one beautiful dog, both inside and out! She has a HUGE following at RESCUE. Here are just a few notes from our volunteers about their time with Roxy:

"Roxy is awesome! I love her gentle personality and zest for life. She was very energetic and we ran for almost 30 minutes. She is so much fun and would love to have an energetic companion, who loves to be outside and on the go. Roxy also loves belly rubs and treats, so make sure you have an extra stash with you and be ready to rub."

"When my daughter and I picked her up she layed down in the middle of the street as soon as she saw that she was going to go in a car. I thought that this might happen so I just picked her up and put her in and she was good to go! She rides extremely well in the car though. We went to my house and hung out there for a while...Roxy is pure joy! There is not one thing that I can complain about with her...she really seems to be a perfect dog. It didn't seem like she knew any commands, so we got out some treats and we worked on "sit". It didn't take her long to get that one. She is a very smart girl! After she mastered that, we worked on "down" but didn't quite get that one to stick. I'm sure that with a little more work, she will have that down in no time. We took her to Pita Jungle for lunch and she did great there too. She just layed down on the ground and drank her water. She was extremely calm and did not get overly excited when she met new people. She just gave them a nice sniff to say hello. She did great getting in and out of the car this time too! She hopped right in and hopped right out, no problem! After lunch we went back to my house to relax. She hopped right up on the bed and we cuddled with my daughter and fell right to sleep. It was so CUTE! Roxy did really well with my daughter. My daughter started playing dress up with her and put a head band on her and Roxy seemed completely content. I really can't say enough good things about her...she is such a sweetheart and pretty much perfect!!! Love, love, looooover her!!!"

Roxy is looking for a family that she can lavish all her love upon! As you can read she has so much love to give. She loves to run so daily walks or runs are necessary to burn off her energy and help keep her girlish figure. If you are looking for a big love-bug, look no further. Our beautiful Roxy is the girl for you! Please fill out an application for her today - www.azrescue.org.

Roxy weighed 44.6 pounds when we saved her from the kill list.
