MAXXIMUS's Story...
Maxximus is a cheerful, very active 7-year-old German Wire-haired Pointer. He absolutely loves to play fetch, and he'll gratefully take a dip in your pool if you have one. Max is housebroken and does well in a crate. He's an inside-outside dog ... he slept inside with his former family. Outside he needs a very tall fence or an enclosed run, because he can jump fences. Max is very good around adults, children and other dogs. Max's family moved to the Midwest and couldn't take him. He needs a new family to love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

MAXXIMUS, a Patterson German Wirehaired Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Wirehaired Pointer for sale in Patterson, or seeking a German Wirehaired Pointer dog from a breeder in Patterson.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Patterson already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Patterson breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Wirehaired Pointer breeders who help with German Wirehaired Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Patterson paves the way for another one to be saved.
