Blue is an amazing young dog and extremely handsome to boot! He has known nothing but love throughout his entire life and it is only due to extreme circumstances that his family is hoping to find him a new home. Blue is a playful boy who gets along well with everyone and everything. He is a mid-sized dog weighing just over 50 lbs and is approximately 10 months old.
Blue's pictures do not do him justice. He has the softest face and a lush, wavy gray coat. He is eager to make friends with everyone but is loyal to his family and can be trusted off leash. He would make an ideal family companion or running mate. He is highly intelligent and learns very quickly. He taught himself to ring the bells to let you know when he needs to go out, knows his basic commands such as 'sit', 'down', 'come', 'stay' and 'back', walks quite well on leash, and can be left for a normal working day without issue. He is both house and crate trained and loves chewy toys and playing with other dogs at the dog park.
Wherever Blue goes people are commenting on his good looks and friendly disposition. He has an unusual gray coat and gray eyes to match and yet the look is soft and welcoming. He is a real ham and loves attention from anyone. He is a real cuddle bug and will even let you use him as a pillow to watch tv.
Blue would like to find a home with a nice sized back yard to play in. Respectful children that would enjoy tossing a ball around or taking him for further obedience classes would be ideal. He is very intelligent and could likely excel at obedience trials. He is food motivated but also responds well to praise and affection. He loves to play and enjoys the company of other dogs. Another dog in the home that also liked to play would be ideal but he would be fine on his own as well. He was raised with cats although he does like to play with them.
