Kimmy's Story...
From pauper to princess, this little girl has come a long way. She came to us emaciated, her jaw having been broken at some point in life, and covered in motor oil. She has grown into quite a beautiful little girl and she deserves a very special home with someone who appreciates and knows the breed. The vet estimates she's just around a year old (and already had puppies, how sad is that??). Kimmy is a TINY little chihuahua weighing around 3-4 pounds at her proper weight. She is basically perfect personality-wise for a chi. She may have flunked her evaluation at the pound and ended up on the euthanasia list, but out of that environment she is a perfect little girl. She LOVES to cuddle with her people and she'd be ecstatic to be a "purse-dog". She is better then walking on a leash and would prefer to be carried by you! She guards her food from other cats and dogs but otherwise she's willing to tolerate their presence. She is far too small for a home with small children - her long thin legs are very delicate. She is mostly housebroken - as she's a tiny chi, you just have to make sure she goes out regularly. She will tolerate sleeping in a crate but since she's so well behaved, we haven't had her sleep in one in a few weeks and she's done fine. Her ideal home would let her sleep in bed with her people! Please submit our application at if you are in interested in adopting her.

adoption donation includes: spay, vaccines, license for one year, heartguard started, bloodwork for tick fever, lyme disease, heartworm, and microchipping.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Kimmy, a Chandler Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Chandler, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Chandler.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Chandler already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Chandler breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Chandler paves the way for another one to be saved.
