Roman
Red Turkish Angora Mix, born ~Feb 2006

[This cat qualifies for our SOS program]
Roman came to us as a kitten who had been treated for a pretty severe
respiratory virus. He has been a wonderful kitten and is now turning
into a great young adult cat. Sadly, he's had one ear infection after
another and it turns out he's got terribly painful ear polyps. We
have had one surgery done on him that was a temporary fix, but now he
really needs to get a fairly expensive surgery done to completely rid
him of his polyps. We are hoping to raise enough funds to schedule
him for exam at UC Davis Veterinary Medical Teaching Hospital. There
we will be able to find out the extent of his problem, and get an
estimate for his care, and a prognosis for his long term care. We
expect his surgery to be approximately $2,000.
Roman is currently in a loving foster home. His foster mother cleans
his ears daily and has been diligent about taking him to the vet to
maintain his condition. We really do need to do the right thing for
this little boy, because he's in a lot of chronic pain.
Despite his painful condition, Roman is a darling boy. He sleeps on
his foster mommy's head at night. He plays well with his kitty
brothers and sisters. Roman likes to talk in his trilling Maine Coon
voice. He talks to his kitties, he talks to his toys, and he talks to
his foster family. He's a joy to have around, and we're glad we could
save his life. Please consider contributing to his care!
