Butch's Story...
Did I hear someone say they wanted a fun dog? Well, hello? Fun happens to be my middle name! How about smart dog? That could be my last name! I am a happy young chap with all the makings of a mighty fine canine…I just need a bit more training and guidance. I love to run and play with other dogs, and I just adore people and children too but I haven’t learned how to share yet so I need a family without young kids but older kids who like to play and know how to stay away from my food bowl will be fine. I am crate trained and eager to please. Call me Mr. Butch Fun Smart Dog and come on in , I am just waiting on you! 1 year old-60lbs. My adoption fee is $200 and includes; neuter, microchip, reduced cost Training Class, free veterinary exam, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Butch, a Portland Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Collie for sale in Portland, or seeking a Collie dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Collie breeders who help with Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
