Choctaw's Story...
This is a dog that we're trying to place to a really excellent home! She is they say dane/dalmatian and/or pointer mix. Shes black & white, spayed, current on vet work, recently re-tested for heartworms (shes negative; we check them twice a year even though shes on heartworm preventative). Shes about 50 lbs roughly, super short-haired and LOVES people! She flops over and wants tummy rubs, wants to try to sit with you, etc. Plays with my other medium and large dogs in the dog pen in the daytime; does not climb the fence or try to get out. She is crate-trained and is in her crate from late night until in the morning. We never have the dogs loose and we never tether the dogs. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Choctaw, a Denton Pointer/Dalmatian dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pointer/Dalmatian for sale in Denton, or seeking a Pointer/Dalmatian dog from a breeder in Denton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Denton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Denton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pointer/Dalmatian breeders who help with Pointer/Dalmatian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Denton paves the way for another one to be saved.
