Demi's Story...
Age: 2 years

Weight: 4 lbs

Demi will be available for adoption on June 18th, after her vaccinations are complete. Demi is a playful young lady who has a bit of a diva streak. Demi gets spurts of energy where she likes to play, play, play much to her foster mom’s dismay. As soon as you pick her up though, she will melt into your arms to cuddle. Demi is working on her housetraining, and her foster mom has begun crate-training which seems to be working out well so far. Demi gets along well with other dogs. She is a petite gal, and due to her size, she will not be adopted to a home with small children.

Adoption fee is $200.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Demi, a Austin Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Austin, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Austin.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Austin already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Austin breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Austin paves the way for another one to be saved.
