Olive's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, not good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Olive's Story...
I’m a gorgeous orange tabby lady with a precious little bob-tail (which you can see in the photo of me, taken when I was just a baby)! I’m more of a loner than my brother, Tommy (also here on Petfinder) and more shy than he is but I’m every bit as sweet! Because of my timid nature, you need to move slowly around me and allow me to do things in my own way and in my own time. I don’t do well around children and don’t like a loud, active household. When you get beyond my shyness and I’m comfortable with you, I’ll let you scratch my back – and when I’m totally at ease, I’ll show you my pretty kitty-belly for you to rub! I would do better if you would adopt me with Tommy – he’s been the only stability I’ve ever known and having my brother around would really help me adjust to a new home. We’re great company for each other while you’re away (and I can keep Tommy from getting into so much trouble!) and we’ll be there to give you double the affection when you get home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Olive, a Farmington American Bobtail cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bobtail for sale in Farmington, or seeking a American Bobtail cat from a breeder in Farmington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Farmington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Farmington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bobtail breeders who help with American Bobtail rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Farmington paves the way for another one to be saved.
