Beren's Story...
My name is Beren. I'm a super sweet 3 month old male Malamute/Mastiff mix. I'm a cute little puppy now - but that will change quickly. There is little doubt that I will be over 100lbs when I'm fully grown. That means I'm going to be a VERY BIG DOG. I'm looking for a home that is experienced with large breed dogs and has the time and energy to invest in my future. I'll need to attend positive, reward based obedience training to make sure I get my life started on the right paw. I need regular exercise, a high quality diet, socialization with people and other dogs and plenty of love and tlc. A home with another large breed dog would be fantastic. A home with older kids would be best. If you are interested in meeting me and are ready to make a lifetime commitment, come on down to the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Beren, a Bellingham Alaskan Malamute/Mastiff puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Alaskan Malamute/Mastiff for sale in Bellingham, or seeking a Alaskan Malamute/Mastiff puppy from a breeder in Bellingham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellingham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellingham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Alaskan Malamute/Mastiff breeders who help with Alaskan Malamute/Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellingham paves the way for another one to be saved.
