found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with cats.
This little Affen girl has stolen my heart. She weighs eight pounds and is two years old. She was born in a puppy mill and was sold as a pet at a very young age. When the new owners tried to return her because "she didn't act like an Affenpinscher" , the puppy mill refused to take her back so she was traded in on another puppy at a commercial breeding facility in another state. That's how Gretchen came to us.
By this time, Gretchen was too old to sell as a pet and too small to have puppies, so the breeder gave her to rescue so we could find her a good home.
Gretchen needs a very calm home with a stay at home parent who is experienced in raising Affens or Griffs. Gretchen has a low tolerance for stress so she should not be in a home with children. She has never learned to play with other dogs although she tries very hard to play with all the young Griffs in the foster home. Play often turns rough so Gretchen should be the only dog in the family. She also likes to chase cats.
Gretchen is extremely sweet and friendly. She loves to give kisses and, when scolded, promptly tries to give kisses to make up. She loves to be held and to sleep in bed with her foster parents.
Gretchen is doing great with her house training. She is crate trained and working on leash training. Gretchen is a wonderful, loveable Affen and a joy to have in our home. She communicates well, is very obedient and tries very hard to be good. She is a Velcro Affen and wants to be with her human 24/7.
Gretchen is located in the Phoenix, AZ, metropolitan area.
She is up-to-date on her vaccinations, is heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and spayed.
Keep in mind that we prefer to place dogs within driving distance of where they are being fostered. If someone from outside the local area is approved for adoption, they must be willing to fly in to get Gretchen and that can only happen if she travels in the cabin with the passenger. Under no circumstances will our rescues ever be shipped in cargo.
