My name should have been Angel! I have earned my wings thanks to my foster mom who has brought out the best in me! I will always be shy, quiet and a little aloof at first but when I warm up you are happy to know me.
My personality is soft, calm and polite but the inquisitive mischievous parts peek out once in awhile. I like to be off by myself sunning or checking the yard out. I could be just fine as an only kid if my family will be interactive and include me in everything. The worst thing for me would be to leave me alone. The right match of a sister or brother would be welcome too. I do not play with toys but I do chew on bully sticks and love Kongs with treats inside. When my mom is fixing my dinner I go stand ever so quietly next to her and she sneaks me a little taste for being a good girl.
I am housebroken on a regular schedule, crate trained, fluffy bed trained, leash trained, ride perfect in the car and am very quiet. I must have a daily walk to keep me healthy and to help keep me social and involved - I shine in this department and will make you proud!
True to my Affenpinscher heritage, I am fun-loving and sometimes mischievous and of course intelligent. I do however thrive on routine to help me feel secure - such as my daily walks. I am not very fond of children as they move too fast for me and are very loud.
I am spayed, micro-chipped, heartworm negative, current on vaccinations and ready to move in right away, my bags are packed! Of course, you will need to visit with my foster mom for any particulars, she loves me so much and wants a very special home for me, I trust her to choose for me.

American Brussels Griffon Rescue Alliance Inc. (ABGRA) came into being to meet the needs of the Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers who are abandoned, might be abandoned, or whose circumstances we can improve. We will endeavor to accept these Griffs, regardless of their circumstance, knowing that we might be their last hope. We strive to leave no Griff behind.
We are especially mindful of the Griffs that have spent their lives in commercial breeding facilities and who will have a chance at a better life through our efforts.
ABGRA is a non-profit national rescue group founded to provide commercially bred Brussels Griffons and Affenpinschers a chance at living in a home for the first time as a pet.

Our Adoption Process...
Our adoption donations are from $200 - $350 and reflect the vetting costs incured for each dog as well as some dogs whose costs far exceed the donation.
We interview all references provided and require a home visit before placements. An adoption contract is required. If the dog is returned within 30 days, a refund will be issued. ABGRA requires adopters be 25 years old, or older, and are looking for stable permanent adoptors. In most cases, these breeds are not recommened for families with young children or for people who are not home for long periods of time. They are the perfect pet for someone who can take their dog to work with them, work from home, or are retired.
