Solange's Story...
This one eyed beauty’s name is Solange. Solange is about as sweet and heartwarming as they come! Solange turned up at the Department of Animal Services after being turned into a veterinary office by a Good Samaritan, she had obvious trauma to her eye, which ended up needing to be removed due to the trauma. Solange didn’t let the loss of her eye get her down for one moment, no, she went on being the beautiful, sweet and playful girl that she still is to this day! Do you have room in your heart for this brave and wonderful girl?

As with all FOCAS cats, Solange has been spayed/neutered, micro chipped, vaccinated and has tested negative for FIV/FELV this is all inclusive in their $100 adoption fee
To meet Solange, please call 1 760 960-7293 or go directly to the Encinitas Petsmart located at 1034 No. El Camino Real, Encinitas, Ca. 92024. Our adoption hours are Monday-Friday 5-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 12-3 pm and 5-7 pm.  Or you may follow http://www.focas-sandiego.org/  to fill out an online application!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Solange, a Encinitas Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Encinitas, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Encinitas.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encinitas already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encinitas breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encinitas paves the way for another one to be saved.
