My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gretchen is a female S&P Schnauzer. She has cropped ears and a docked tail. She is a GORGEOUS dog. She is sweet and playful. She is 7 yrs old but absolutely acts like she is 2. She plays well with other dogs as long as they will stand their ground as she can be a little dominant. She weighs about 17lbs. She was dumped at a high kill shelter in KY by the adult children of her owner who passed away. She is WELL mannered and house, crate and leash trained. She would do fine with older children who have some pet ownership experience. All she wants is your attention. She was used to having someone home with her all the time til her master passed away. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, heart worm negative and on preventative. She recently had a dental cleaning. She is ready for her furever home. Schnauzers, properly cared for, have a life expectancy of 15-17 yrs.. She loves to go for car rides and walks. She is great on a leash. She has never tried to hurt a cat but I do not know how she would be with an inside cat. She is protective of her family.

Gretchen is being fostered in Tennessee. We have weekly transport available up to the Northeast states for an additional $135.00. This does not include her adoption fee. Her adoption fee is $150.00.
