My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get to know Ringo, one of BREW’s newest beagle models:

So Ringo, how did you get your name? From what I hear, I was named that because of the white ring on my tail.

Tell us a little about yourself: I have been told that I am a very cute beagle, but vanity is not part of my personality. I am just a big, laid-back loaf who will happily hold down your couch for you. My foster mom has nicknamed me “Big Red.” I am a larger boy, weighing in at a healthy 40+ pounds, so if you are looking for a petite little thing, keep looking! My foster mom says that is ok, there is just more to love, and I really do love people.

What do you look for in your people, Ringo? I do not require heavy-duty cuddling or kissing but I do like to be near to you. I really love children, and I like other dogs, too. I have lived with kids for a long time and they don’t bother me at all. There is a really nice little two-year-old here in my foster home. She gets really loud and excited sometimes, but if I snore loud enough, I can sleep right through her games.

What else should people know about you? I know a few neat tricks that I will show you for a treat: sit, lay, speak, twirl, and crawl are my specialties.

What are you looking for in your new forever home? Well, I would really like a family who has someone home during the day. I get very lonely when I am alone. If they had another dog like me, that would be great, too. I also like to go to doggie day-care if you need to go to work during the day. Oh, and I would love a family who will let me sleep on their bed. That would be great!

Wow Ringo, you sound like you are too good to be true! Be honest with us, what are you holding back? Well, I will tell you a little secret. I know I’m not supposed to, but I really love to check the kitchen counter for food once in awhile. And if your garbage isn’t secure, I’ll figure it out and make sure you aren’t wasting anything good in the trash. I also am pretty strict with my people. If they don’t keep things picked up and put away I will remind them once in awhile that they need to keep things neat and tidy when I am around.

Well Ringo, it sounds like you are going to make a great new family very happy when they meet you! Good luck.
