Mattie's Story...
Hard to imagine that this little spry puppy was a stray, but he was found alone and wandering and brought to the pound. Mattie is a little jewel. He’s alert, quick to learn, very balanced, playful, and energetic. He is currently fostered in a home with three large mature dogs and is learning from his adult mentors every minute. He learned to use their dog door in a day, is quickly learning the difference between inside and outside and doing his business outside. He is just the cutest, brightest puppy waiting for the right home. He sleeps in the bedroom in his crate at night as if he’s done it for years. He plays fetch and loves to bound around on the grass. Mattie will grow up to be an extremely handsome and marvelous companion.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mattie, a Marina del Rey German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd puppy from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Australian Shepherd rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
