Light's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and not good with kids.

Light's Story...
Light was found literally in a garbage can, someone had thrown him away. Lucky for him he waas found by a wonderful foster mama, who volunteers in rescue. He's on his way back to trust and love. Light is a neutered male chihuahua about 1-2 years old. He loves to have other small dogs to play with but is wary of dogs larger than he is. He is excellent with my large mellow cat but will chase a cat that runs from him. Light is a cuddle bug who likes to sleep in bed under the covers at night. He can get a bit snappy when startled and does not enjoy rough play, so he needs to go to a home without any kids. Teenagers should be fine. Other than that he is very friendly and is not wary of any adult human he meets...he loves to greet people at the door!

Light still needs to gain weight (about 1/2 pound to a pound) and needs to be on a diet of high quality canned food. He will not eat dry food and low quality food will not help him regain weight like he needs too. He does not enjoy being crated or being left outside alone for more than a few minutes. He is excellent on walks and is dog door trained. Though he is housebroken he tends to "leak" when he is sleeping...which is why he wears the belly band. He doesn't mind wearing the band at all....though at night he wears a little outfit to keep it from falling off.

Light has had a rough life and deserves a loving home after all he has been through. He will amaze you with his loving personality and loyalty to those who care for him.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Light, a Sedona Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Sedona, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Sedona.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sedona already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sedona breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sedona paves the way for another one to be saved.
