Tail-less wonder!

My name is Boink and I was brought into the vet to be euthanized when I was trapped by accident in a feral colony. They were trying to catch a kitty for TNR and I came along instead. My skinny body was covered in wounds and scabs, my eye was blood red and swollen and my tail hung limp and bloody.
I was in a lot of pain and was very scarred so my trapper thought I was wild and had so many injuries that it would be better to put me to sleep.
When the vet tech who runs FLOP saw me in the trap and talked to me, I purred and rubbed my head on the cage. She took me out and I rubbed on her legs and flopped on the floor in front of her. FLOP decided to take on my medical expenses and foster me if I was healthy enough to recover.
My FV/FeLV test came back negative and I was taken to be neutered. Will I was under anesthesia, my eye was being cleaned and a BB popped out! I was shot in the eye but incredibly, no permanent damage occurred. My tail had been injured some time ago and the bones were crushed, the infection was so bad that the skin had opened up and bled freely. There was no repairing the tissue and bone so my tail was amputated. I healed up very nicely and now I wag my little stump when I'm happy!
I am a very sweet and healthy boy now and Im looking for a permanent home. I am still a little nervous at times so a calm and understanding home would be ideal. I am a little sensitive about my tail area so a home without children who may unknowingly hurt me would be best.

About Our Rescue Group...
Fur the Love of Paws is an Charitable, 501c3 organization started by a group of dedicated animal lovers who wanted to make a difference in the lives of homeless animals.
Currently being operated by volunteers and foster homes, our goal is to provide a shelter for homeless,
neglected and unwanted cats and eventually dogs and to open a center to provide sanctuary for animals where euthanasia is never an option for a healthy animal.

The staff at Fur the Love of Paws take no paychecks, 100% of contributions go directly to the animals.
The three founders who started our organization have a combined 25 years of animal rescue experience.
As fate would have it, we all ended up working with the same group, and as time went by,
we learned that there are many more animals in desperate need of homes than the already overcrowded shelters can handle. As a consequence, thousands of animals
are euthanized each year in Maryland alone, simply due to lack of space in shelters. So we decided to volunteer our time and start our own rescue organization,
not only for the extreme need, but for our unconditional love of animals. Fur the Love of Paws...

Come Meet Our Pets...
We are always in dire need of funding and every little bit helps!

Currently our pets are in foster care until we can get enough donations to open a shelter. By opening a facility without having to rely on foster homes, we will be able to greatly increase the number of pets we can help.
We will be able to offer shelter to those animals that may need some extra time before they are adoptable, and offer sanctuary for those who may never be ready.
If you would like to help the animals in our organization, please use our pay-pal link to make a secure online donation.

We are a non-profit org. Donations are tax-deductible.

Our Adoption Process...
We ask that you fill out an adoption application, and we will arrange for a meeting with the pet you are interested in.
We have an adoption contract, a $90 adoption fee that provides Spay/Neuter surgery, vaccines, FIV/FeLV testing, worm/flea treatment, food, shelter
and all the love our adoptable pets could want!
Your contribution also makes it possible to keep rescuing more homeless animals.
Pet history/experience preferred, current pets must be up to date on shots.
We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties...
All of Maryland and beyond!!!
