Toby-IN A FOSTER HOME! 12/8/13's Info...
|Breed:||Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)||Color:||Tan/Yellow/Fawn||Age:||Adult|
|Size:||Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less||Sex:||Male||ID#:||3492050|
I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, and good with dogs.
Toby was living with homeless folks and took the opportunity to be rescued by a great B&B volunteer. He is 12# which is ideal, according to his vet - and about 7-8 yrs young. We'll get him the dental he needs shortly....want to load him up with some love first. He was good with the vet except when they tried to administer the nasal bordetella. He took the injection (instead) very well.
After his vet visit, Toby met the groomer and got a soothing bath and short clipping - he did very well there. He sleeps through the night and ready to go when you are... loves to walk and enjoys stopping to smell his surroundings. He handles other dogs well.
His rescuer reports that Toby enjoys naps and tolerates being held once he gets to know you. He is afraid of cameras - he will hide as best he can. Toby walks well and I suspect would enjoy a run if given the chance. He is sweet and responds to general commands like lay down, up and wait and come. With some additional training, he will be as obedient as one may require.
Toby warms quickly to people and seems to want to please. Overall Toby is a sweet and affectionate dog who loves to be scratched and to be close to you. He is beginning to play with his fav humans and except for taking a few pictures, seems to trust.
All our dogs are spayed/neutered and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a new leash, collar, ID tag and all medical records. We can microchip and always love to board our graduates. Check out the 'Boarding' section of our web. You can learn more about the adoption process from our website under 'adopt a dog' and 'contact and hours.' Please bring the family and other dogs to visit any open house day/time. Thanx!

We hope this material will help you decide if a Beagles & Buddies canine companion should be in your future. If you're considering a "rescued companion", you will need to know that all dogs that enter our rescue are screened before they are available for adoption. They are checked for temperament problems, given all required vaccines, spayed or neutered and are socialized. A donation is requested as well as a signed adoption contract.
Donations range from $150 - $750 depending on the age and breed. We support our non-profit and no-kill sanctuary from funds generated by these donations, therefore, puppy and pure-bred donations, which are higher, help keep the older, less adoptable dogs from harms way. Our older dogs often require dental care, blood work and other attention. We also have a great track record at finding our older canine companions great homes, as well!
We are looking for serious people and families who will be responsible canine companion adopters; which means making the dog part of your family, providing inside/outside homes, quality food, veterinary care, attending training classes and making a commitment to the dog for the rest of its' life, through good times and bad.
If you fit this description, we look forward to helping you find a canine companion suitable for your family - because that's what we do best!
