Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When we got an urgent call from Riverside Shelter about a puppy with a broken jaw, we rushed out to scoop up this poor pooch. The moment we had Oliver in our arms, he was giving kisses through his adorable crooked smile. Oliver is a 3 month old, 4 pound, pure bred Maltese puppy. Despite being the obvious victim of physical abuse, Oliver has an amazing and sweet forgiving nature. He might be a bit reserved when first meeting new people, but he quickly bonds to the ones who love and care for him.

Oliver has had extensive consultations with our specialty surgeons and due to his young age and tiny size he is not a good candidate for surgery. The prognosis for his recovery is to wait for all his adult teeth to come in and possibly extract the ones that could injure the roof of his mouth. Although it will take several months before his treatment can be completed, Oliver is available for adoption and Lovebugs Rescue will take care of the rest of his treatment when he is ready.
Other than his slightly crooked smile, you would never know that anything had ever happened to this happy little guy. He eats just like any other dog and loves to play with his foster brothers and sisters. We have fallen head over heals in love with our little Ollie and we know his new family will too!
