My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Disposition: gentle, quiet

Inara is a beautiful flame point Siamese, unusual for a female. She has the best manners and is great around people and other cats. She's not chatty and mouthy like so many Siamese; she seems to take time to listen to you and welcomes all opportunities to spend time with you. Also, she is patient with children.

This beauty came to us from a local shelter on what was to be her last night alive on Earth. She and her babies were scheduled for euthanasia. Another rescue group called us and asked if we could make room for her and her little family. We did, and they have been safe ever since. It is unfortunate, however, that because her babies were not tended to in the shelter, one of them is now blind. Her eyes were so crusted over that they never developed. Still, she gets along and plays with her brothers...but that's another story.

Inara would simply thrive in a home where she could find her loving little niche and spend time with her new family members.

She was adopted three years ago and family living circumstances were such that all the pets in the home had to be removed. The family dreaded giving Inara up, but they had to. As of now, she is confused about what has happened to her, where her loving humans are, and why she lost her home. We're letting her work that out herself, while we show her that she is indeed safe and loved. It would be wonderful to place her in a new permanent home as soon as possible so she won't have to endure multiple adjustment periods.
