Pete's Story...
Disposition: quiet, playful

Pete is a great little boy with subdued manners. He sometimes takes his time figuring out if you are going to be good to him. But give him a feather toy, and he brightens right up, playing with you for as long as you want. He is a fluffy little boy, very likely a Maine Coon mix.

We pulled this boy, his siblings, and his mommy from a local city shelter. They have lived together in foster care.

Pete would enjoy the company of a companion, but would probably do fine by himself after a while.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pete, a The Colony Domestic Mediumhair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Mediumhair for sale in The Colony, or seeking a Domestic Mediumhair kitten from a breeder in The Colony.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in The Colony already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a The Colony breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Mediumhair breeders who help with Domestic Mediumhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in The Colony paves the way for another one to be saved.
