Hope's Story...
I am 8 months old and I’m all black. I was found in West Phila with my mom and siblings. I am a small kitten for my age and I’m very shy but not aggressive. Once you pick me up, I tend to show my shy side but will allow you to hold and pet me, at least for a while. I will need more of this in order to continue to gain your trust. I love paying with toys and running around. I also like playing with other young cats. I learned to tolerate the small dog in my foster family, but I’m still afraid of the bigger dogs. With exposure and trust, I believe I will be fine with dogs also. I am also ok with older children.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Hope, a Jenkintown Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Jenkintown, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Jenkintown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jenkintown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jenkintown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jenkintown paves the way for another one to be saved.
