Dolly's Story...
Dolly is a 6 yr old, 25 lb jack russell terrier. She is a wonderful dog: loves to cuddle, housebroken, loves to play fetch and go for walks and runs (she can even use a treadmill!). Dolly is very smart, loves the outdoors, and is a great kisser. Dolly is also quite territorial, especially about her food, bed and toys. We recommend her to be in a home with no other pets or small children.

Dolly is currently in foster care so if you'd like to meet her, please email Her adoption fee is $160, which includes spay, heartworm testing, and vaccinations while at the shelter.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dolly, a Columbus Jack Russell Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Columbus, or seeking a Jack Russell Terrier dog from a breeder in Columbus.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Columbus already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Columbus breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Columbus paves the way for another one to be saved.
