Twister's Story...
Twister came to the rescue as a result of an owner surrender in lieu of prosecution for neglect. He arrived extremely malnourished with an impacted tooth and a respiratory infection and had not yet been gelded. He had spent the previous 6 months tied to a junk car with no shelter from the elements before his arrival at the rescue. Twister has recovered from his starvation and infections and he is now gelded, healthy and ready to find a loving home. Unfortunately, Twister has some joint issues as a result of his neglect that do not require any special treatment at this time, but will likely limit him to light trail riding. He is a gorgeous boy and is searching for a patient, experienced home to continue his training and help him overcome his fear of strangers.

Angel Horse Rescue, Inc. was founded in February 2004. We received our 501(c)3 tax exempt status from the IRS in 2005. We are a non-profit, all volunteer organization dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of neglected, abused and horses at risk for slaughter.

Our Adoption Process...
Potential adopters will need to fill out and submit our adoption application. We will conduct a property inspection to verify suitability for horses. We also require an adoption contract - our application, adoption policies and a copy of the contract can be found on our website www.angelhorserescue.org on the adoption page. There is an adoption fee ranging from $50 - $500 depending on the horse.
