Coco's Story...
Hi, my name is Coco and I look like a Chocolate Lab, maybe mixed with a Pointer, but have just a little white on my chest and tip of my tail. I was hit by a pickup truck and my former owner didn't want to pay to have me treated at a vet's! Fortunately, a good Samaritan saw the accident and wanted to help me. I was so glad that my owner said the good Samaritan could have me because I was really hurting. At the vet's, I was treated for a broken front leg and had numerous cuts and scrapes. I am almost totally recovered now. The people at the vet clinic are really nice to me and like me a lot. I like them too, but I would really like to have a family of my own again. I love kids and receiving attention and I would be a great family pet. I am already neutered and am current on shots.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Coco, a Bowling Green Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever/Pointer for sale in Bowling Green, or seeking a Labrador Retriever/Pointer dog from a breeder in Bowling Green.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bowling Green already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bowling Green breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever/Pointer breeders who help with Labrador Retriever/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bowling Green paves the way for another one to be saved.
