My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

George was found eating out of a dumpster behind a McDonald’s. He is a sweet, kind, gentle soul who will bump his head against your legs 2,000 times a day to get his head rubbed. He will absolutely insist on sleeping with you, often right on top of your head, across your neck, or on your chest, purring like a Harley. He is completely devoted to his humans, but is an alpha male, so he will dominate any other pet who lives with him.

George is a special needs kitty because he has pemphigus (PEM-fih-gus). Pemphigus is an autoimmune disorder that causes his body to attack his skin. When he has a flare-up, he gets a terrible case of acne all over his head, on his paws and legs, and at the base of his tail. The pimples swell up and cause him a lot of pain, and his whole body gets sick and slow. The flare-ups can be treated with a cancer medication, but it also makes him sick and slow, so he can’t be on it all the time. So George needs someone who can afford the time and money to manage his illness (his meds are approximately $45/month).

If you are interested in this boy who will repay you for your love, attention and care, phone our cat coordinator at 503-284-8768 or complete our "I'm interested" form.
