Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chaucer
18 month Male Egyptian Mau/Chaussie Mix
Chaucer. Of the many cats we've rescued over the years, Chaucer is one of the most unique, striking, cats we've seen. He is fascinating to watch, his coat glitters and shines when he walks. His grin makes him look like the Cheshire Cat. At "only" 14 lbs, this long leggy boy
dwarfs the Maine Coons in his foster home. Chaucer gets along with other nice cats, and is unfazed by the large dogs in his current domicile. He loves water, and loves people. His owners turned him in to the shelter thinking he was a purebred Mau. However, we believe he is one of the Egyptian Mau in that area that is being bred w/ Chaussie's (a type of semi wild cats), to create a new breed called "Safari Cat". Suffice it to say, this would be a fabulous breed if they can create cats as wonderful as Chaucer.
