My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Despite being 7 years old Maggie is still playful and happy and acts much younger than she is. She has many good years ahead of her.

She really is a great dog and with the right owner will blossom even more! She is used to being around another dog (lives with another younger small dog), but does not have experience with kids. I have seen NO aggression in her but being that she is energetic she is reactive sometimes on leash and might jump to try to greet and play, this might be too much for small kids but older kids would likely be ok. She does react, like many dogs, to things like skateboards, bikes, and other fast moving things or loud noises. This behavior can easily be reduced with the right lifestyle and training. She is by NO means a difficult or challenging dog, it is just not the right match for the current owner.

We are looking for a knowledgeable dog owner/family who can give LOTS of exercise, discipline and maintain Maggie's training and provide social time. Although she knows her basic obedience commands well, she would benefit from some ongoing advanced group class training, or doggy daycare, or agility or something to keep her active and mentally stimulated. She looks like a smaller Shepherd X or Husky X although she is apparently Lab/Shar Pei. Maggie is on a special diet.

A home check and interview will be required to adopt. No rehoming fee.
