My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Seneca is a wonderful, loving, happy dog – she is playful, and happy-go-lucky, and she loves attention.

She is just over 3 years old and is a beautiful shepherd blend who weighs about 40 lbs full grown.

Seneca is well trained, comes when called, and knows the commands: come, sit, stay, down and shake. She is 100% house broken and crate trained. She usually stays in a crate during the day, but could also roam free in the house. She thinks she is a house dog and doesn't like to be left outside for too long, but does enjoy sunbathing.

Seneca has lived with cats in the past and generally leaves the house cats alone (the cats have more interest in her, than she does them). She gets along with other dogs as well and has lived with at least one other dog most of her life. She will do well in a home with another dog.

Seneca loves her dog bed, and if she doesn't have a dog bed down for the night, she wonders where she should sleep – she is rather spoiled!

She is a bit skittish, especially when there are no other dogs around, so she would make a great pal for your other doggie. It may take a little while to adjust to a new family, but like people, it can take a dog a little while to make “best friends.”

She does best with women, but does get attached to some men, and she is anxious around children so a home with older kids (maybe teens) would be best.

Seneca is a lovely girl and will make a great buddy for the right family.

She is already spayed and her adoption covers all of her shots, flea meds, and worm meds -- whatever she needs to be a healthy little girl. We have the full medical history on her and will, of course, pass that on to her new family.
