MT-Magnum's Story...
This big handsome 12 year old came to us from Montana and is a gentle giant. He does well with other horses although a bit aloof. Friendly to people; easy to approach. Easy to catch, pretty easy to handle. A trainer in Montana determined he is too reactive for harnessing. Had feet done and vaccinations recently

Come Meet Our Pets...

We have a strict must complete an application and have your background screening done prior to having access to any of the animals! They have come from very bad situations and we must protect them as best we can...

All meetings must be set up through the office if the horse is located on our Ranch and meetings with foster horses must be coordinated with the individual foster home.

Our Adoption Process...

Our first step is the adoption application! The application covers a background check, references and general information to be kept on file with Habitat for Horses. Once the background is cleared and the references are checked, you will complete a property inspection report to insure the property is horse safe. All of our requirements can be found on our website ( under the "Adoption Process" heading. After your property inspection report is cleared, you will be notified by phone and by email and then able to adopt. Our fees vary with each horse and range from $100 for a companion and up to $600.00 for a trained and rid-able horse. We reserve the right to adjust an adoption fee pertaining to any horse with extensive training and/or exceptional background or history.
