Gunther's Story...
Gunther is a return resident here at the Sacramento SPCA, he is a staff favorite and makes kitty friends quickly. His favorite hangout is in the cat tree's in our social rooms and hanging out in your lap. He's curious and likes to be wherever you are. He has been known to share snacks with his cat friends and people alike but we've come to see he has a sensitive stomach and should really avoid extra treats and human food all together. His perfect home would include a couple of four legged friends and a cat savvy human who doesn't mind picking him out of a cabinet or two from time to time. He is currently located in our back teaser room, please don't hesitate to stop by and see this handsome guy!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gunther, a Sacramento Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
