Toby's Story...
Toby is a very sweet, housetrained long haired chihuahua.. He is 6 or 7 years old and weighs 7 lbs. He is neutered and up to date on all shots. Toby was rescued from a local shelter to live with a family with several children because he was so sweet and clearly likes children. Unfortunately the house is just too loud and busy and he can't seem to relax. He also thinks he needs to protect everyone. He just needs a quieter lifestyle with some people closer to his age and then just visit with children instead of live with them. He does very well with other dogs and seems fine with cats. If you would like to give this sweet boy his forever home, please contact onemorelastchancerescue@hotmail.com or call 423-903-1625. Toby is currently in TN awaiting his new home and his adoption fee includes his transport.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Toby, a Windham Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Windham, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
