My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This handsome guy is Gordon. He is a purebred black German Shepherd with a bit of silver/tan on his legs. He is approximately 5-6 yrs young and playful. His foster dad says he is poetry in motion and so beautiful to watch as he runs around the yard playing.

He loves to be with his humans and gets along well with big dogs. Gordon likes to play with his Lab foster brother. He can be trusted in the house and outside alone. Gordon is fully potty trained and will go to the door to let you know he needs to go out. He has great manners and is not a chewer. He loves to go for walks and is very polite on the leash. He will beg for attention and playtime by putting his paw in your lap and giving you his magic" puppy dog eyes. He will also bring you a toy to play with him. He likes to go for car rides and is well behaved in the car...just like he is everywhere.

Gordon does have epilepsy that is controlled by a daily pill. His medication works out to about a dollar a day...less than one-third the cost of a Starbucks coffee and with a million times the love!

Gordon's "mom" passed away and, though his broken heart is healing, he will not be complete without a loving home. Gordon has not been observed around children so will have to meet with potential children in an adoptive home. He takes a few minutes to warm up to new people due to his world being shaken up but once warmed up is a true velcro dog and will stick by your side with the loyalty so common in his breed. Please give Gordon a new chance to shine as the light of love and laughter in your home.
