My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bear, a mellow 3 year old beautiful boy, who sadly was given up to the shelter by his previous owner, as his owner's new landlord wouldn't allow pets. He is about 78 lbs., and we think he may be a mix of Newfie and Lab, or even possibly some Border Collie, because of his unque brindle coloring of black and brown with a splash of white on his chest. We think he is just gorgeous, but his pictures just don't do him justice! You'd have to meet this sweet boy in person to see how stunning he is.

Bear gets along nicely with the big dogs in his foster home, who he likes to cuddle up and romp with, and would love a big doggie pal to romp with, but he does not seem to like small dogs. He is also good with the young children in his foster home. He did great at his first adoption day, and greeted everyone he met with a big wag of his tail. He enjoys taking a snooze or lounging around, or just playing with the other dogs.

Bear is housebroken, neutered, up to date on shots and also microchipped. He is an easy going boy, who just loves to be wherever his family is. He sometimes is a little protective of his toys, and when he is in his yard, he will bark protectively to alert his foster family of any strangers as he is unsure of them. His foster mom is working with him on this, and we feel he would do well with an experienced confident owner, who is willing to help him continue to work through his insecurity with training, and give him the stable, loving home he deserves. He is well behaved when his foster family goes out, and has free run of the house with the other dogs. The gorgeous boy is looking for a new home to call all his his own, Could it be with you??
