Betty's Story...
Betty!

Likes: Hopping, exploring, eating carrots, lettuce, celery and other veggies and fruit, getting pats, hanging out outdoors.
Dislikes: None as of yet

Notes: Rescued from Hamilton Animal Control and currently in foster care, Betty is a very sweet bunny. She’s used to cats and calm dogs. She has been spayed and is litter trained! The Ladybird Animal Sanctuary believes commercial cages sold in pet stores are too small for rabbits, so we would like Betty's adopters to house her in a similar enclosure to the one shown in the photos. She loves all the room. Betty would love to find a forever home soon!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Betty, a Hamilton Other/Unknown was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Other/Unknown for sale in Hamilton, or seeking a Other/Unknown from a breeder in Hamilton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hamilton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hamilton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Other/Unknown breeders who help with Other/Unknown rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hamilton paves the way for another one to be saved.
