My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Surely you must be smiling if you have just viewed Elvis' photos or video. He is quite the ham and oh so adorable and loving. He is a ball of energy and love and can't wait to share it with everyone! Not surprising, he is a volunteer favorite. Here are just a few notes about him from our volunteers:

"It wouldn't surprise me if we discover that Elvis is the kind of therapy dog that can predict epileptic seizures. He is very intuitive and attuned to humans. In the mean time, tho, he is a happy energetic pup that loves to play and loves to snuggle. He likes to throw his head onto your shoulder and adores belly rubs. He is an accomplished comedian. He has a production number that he does when he sniffs the ground intently, spins furiously three times to the right and two times to the left and then goes potty. He had me laughing most of the morning. We walked in the park until it got too warm and then played fetch at my house and took a nap. It's inconceivable that a family surrendered him -- he's the perfect mix of everything you want in a dog. And with impeccable leash manners. His lip gets stuck on his tooth sometimes - what a cute boy!"

"Elvis was a great visitor and such a nice combo of playfulness and warmth, you can't help but feel happy around this little guy, at least I did:)"

Yes it is true that Elvis' previous owners gave him up when they moved and that is truly their loss. Elvis is such a wonderful, loving dog and we want to make sure that his next home is his last. He will need an active home with daily walks or runs. Because of his super affectionate personality he will need a home that enjoys his loving nature and plenty of snuggling. Elvis is sure to bring you a life of smiles and love. He deserves nothing less in return. To learn more, please complete an application at www.azrescue.org.

Elvis weighed 18 pounds when we saved him from the kill list.
