Allie's Story...
Meet sweet and sassy Allie--a small, apple head female, estimated to have been born in 2007, is all ready for her new home. She has had a complete dental, is spayed, up to date on her shots, and is micro chipped. She would do better in an adult home as it seems that she is not fond of children under 5 feet tall; possibly due to some bad experiences in her past. She is compact and weighs approximately 5 to 6 pounds, and can be a great snuggler if she feels safe. If you would like to meet Allie please fill out an application, which is found on our web site www.RescueAChihuahua.com, then e-mail to us. You can also check out our calendar of events on the web site to see where our next adoption event will be to meet Allie in person.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Allie, a San Diego Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
